Certificate in Systemic Counselling Course (one-year course)

• CONTACT is very pleased and proud to have organized the first one-year course in Systemic Counselling in Matabeleland. The first graduates received their certificates in May 2004, while now two new intakes are scheduled and implemented every year.

Workshops

• in an effort to upgrade and refresh the acquired knowledge of various professionals, CONTACT offers workshops on specific topics relevant to the counselling and training processes.
  These workshops are run by experts in their field and deal with the following issues:
  - HIV/AIDS
  - Prevention of suicide
  - Bereavement
  - Crisis counselling
  - Conflict counselling
  - Stress and stress management
  - Relaxation
  - Assertiveness
  We also offer specially designed workshops to suit the needs of requesting organisations.

Who are the beneficiaries?

These include:

• Residents of Bulawayo and the region who need counselling skills mainly because of their roles at home or in the community e.g. home-based caregivers.

• Professionals in the health, social and educational sectors, the police and those who look after children in children’s homes.

• Organisations that we network with, institutions and government departments that wish to improve services that they offer to their clients.
